So I did a complete recap on my Olympus OEV203. Used long life and highest ripple current rating I could get. I am very satisfied with the results; the colors seem a bit brighter and the quality of the image is really impressive. However, there are still some convergence issues on the borders of the screen only. I've been playing with the two sets of convergence rings for about 2 hours now and any adjustment that I've made has just made it worse, so I always end up returning to the stock setting. Are there any tips on how to do this right? There are 3 sets of rings, two of which adjust convergence. I have not touched purity rings, because purity is perfect (I got rid of a purity issue with my degaussing tool).
Convergence in the middle of the screen looks perfect; the issue is on the edges of the screen. Every time I fix one of the edges, the other edge of the screen gets messed up. Is there another way that I can adjust convergence? I do have some magnetic strips that have not used.

You need to use the magnetic squares mounted on adhesive straps to do the corner convergence. You find them on ebay or make your own. Leave the rings as they are.

It is not uncommon to have a little bit of convergence/geometry issues towards corners especially the flatter the tube is.
But yes it sounds like magnets would be the only reasonable tweak worth looking at assuming convergence is pretty good, albeit not perfect? (bit afraid you might be chasing 100% perfection which might never have been realistic even when new
)

If you want perfect corner to corner convergence then you need to buy a BVM, preferably one with per-zone digital convergence controls.

Thanks everyone for your replies! I already have the magnetic strips that I bought on Ebay; I should have started with those and should have left the rings alone. I'm going to set the rings to their original settings and will tweak the magnetic strips instead.
Also, yes it would be nice to have a BVM, but unfortunately, I am not rich lol! I got this OEV203 plus a 1953MD both for $750usd. The 1953 is in near mint condition and have not done anything to it yet.
