Bought an RGB 203 Rxi off eBay, got it in, thought it was only outputting blue. Pulled out the blue output cable to realize that it DOES output red and green, but at maybe 20% normal capacity. So weak it looks like only blue is on when it's plugged in.
Definitely not a cabling issue. Same cables, same source, same monitor.
Contacted the seller to return it but they refunded me and said to either trash or fix it, so I'm curious if anyone has any experience working on these little Extron boxes and might be able to point me in the right direction.
Extron RGB 203 Rxi - outputs blue way stronger than other colors

Check the manual. The first Extron RGB boxes had (three position) switches to adjust the colors of all three color channels and another dial specifically for additional blue boost. I recall the older ones also had some dip switches inside as well.
There may be something inside the case. Check the manual.

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be anything of the sort in the manual for this model.orange808 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 23, 2023 2:02 am Check the manual. Makes sense.
Legacy early analog RGB computers that struggled with text in color modes were not a problem for very long. The Hercules cards put the awful IBM cards to bed. Extron probably removed the "DAC" circuitry to handle RGBI digital (EGA and CGA) because nobody needed it anymore. No more need to turn up the blue, especially after VGA arrived.
