New Pico-8 stg: Kalikan...

On the Pico-8 site, there's a DDP inspired stg by the name of Kalikan that runs on the Pico-8 setup. Quite a fun little stg in the mold of Dodonpachi. It does have leaderboard support for high scores (but just local -- author/programmer of Kalikan has said you're just beating your own scores). Impulsively bought this on itch.io the other day but have yet to play it. Looks killer!

I've tried a couple of credits so far and it pretty decent. Chaining is not nearly as strict as in actual DDP, but just seeing the chain number go up is fun. Instinctively tried to use the laser aura to deal more damage, but I can't tell if this game has that mechanic.

I just picked up a Powkiddy RGB30 which is perfect for Pico-8 games and played a bunch of credits of this last night.
Really fun and impressive game for Pico-8.
