Hand full of questions about my BVM-D14H5U and BVM-20G1U I recently got - What are all the supported resolutions of each? I am pretty sure I read the 14 does up to 720p/1080i but unsure on the larger one! The 20 has the rgb cards, I want to use my 360 over component, ps2 over component there, as well as my Dreamcast over vga is that doable? I also wish to add that I have a GBS Control scaler if that helps there!
Next questions I have are about a card for the 14, as it came with no input cards, do they have any that are cheaper than others? Next what about the cloned BKM-129X I see around, I seen one place with them for 79 euro/in UK, but as im in usa thats less than ideal, I then next seen there are arduino projects that are wicked cheap thanks to a kind fellow, anyone done any of those?
You can use all of those with the appropriate cables. For Dreamcast VGA is RGBHV so you will need a cable or combiner to get RGBS for the monitor. Same for GBS's VGA output (though it also has component). 129X card and its clones will work on the D14.

Okay so 20g is just 240p/480i?
Got recommended combiners? Trying to weigh all my options! You specify component, Are there ways the 20g takes component? (Say with bnc to rca adapters) the gbs downscales to 240p so i thought maybe even 360 if so... .so if I could feed it component, i could do everything as i already play dreamcast via vga using scaler/own component cables for ps2 lol
The both accept RGBs, RGsB and YPbPr through the same inputs.
If you got as RGBHV source, you can convert to either RGsB (sync on green) or RGBs. Using RGsB saves you using 4 instead of 3 wires. You can use any of the Extron RGB interfaces to do a proper sync conversion.
Oh and some of the clone BKM-129X cards do have an HD-15 ("VGA") port that accepts RGBHV, though I have no idea if this input is limited to 480p or if it also accepts SD/15khz signals.

I am gonna have to sell some vidya game stuffs somehow before i can spend much more money lol any cheap ways to do that? Lol
Does that mean that I can use my ps2 fat on the 20 via component and my gbs control scaler? (If I have the scaler plugged in via bnc to rca?) If i am understanding, so long as I feed it sd/the right signals, It should work fine?

By default they seemingly come with that and scart, over the normal BNC, at least as far as the retro upgrades ones go! (So strange looking) Anyone by chance selling one of the cheap cheap cards with the arduino? I am surprised nobody sells kits, as you gotta learn about cad software and send files out and hope to get the pcb to start the project, was surprised more ppl aren't selling those lol

I haven't checked in a while, but RGB interfaces on eBay have always been available for next to nothing.

definitely. You just have to set the input card to Component with internal sync through the menus.
and my gbs control scaler? (If I have the scaler plugged in via bnc to rca?)
with the scaler set to 240p output ? Yes, depending on the sync type you eventually use, you would set the input to RGB with internal sync (for RGsB) or RGB with external sync (for RGBS).

Whole bunch more great information! My next question - Do I NEED to always use bnc terminators? I only have two and finances are kinda ridiculously tight, bvm thing came up as a surprise! I have read that only really old bvm NEED that and I have also read that if i dont, it'll work but the picture will be super bright, whats true? Lol. A

The BVM-20G has to have terminators or you'll get an incorrect picture.
The BVM-D14, which is built more like a PVM (and in fact uses the same cards many different PVM's also use) doesn't need terminators.

Okay thanks! I will be able to test them without terminators, albeit with an off picture then?
I only need the 75 ohm Terminators on the first input if thats all im using on the 20, right?
You got any resources for looking at the different cards for the bvm i have? Thanks for being so helpful! Learning lots
