Best to give it up and focus on making one thing happen. Microsoft have essentially bought Senko, that's how it is. Whether or not we get to play that released game, is something we have a bigger chance of influencing. Making another port is more work for them than changing a simple region tag.

Re: HOPE
The Japanese don't care about good business decisions, they never have (in almost every industry). They are all too concerned about being pro Japan and even though it would bring up game sales by a notable margin no Japanese company wants to be the "first" to share their Japanese region exclusive titles with the rest of the world. I have lived in Japan for several years, this is just the way it is. My honest guess is that during the ENTIRE lifespan of the 360 we will never see a regionless Japanese title if one doesn't come out by the end of 2006 to initially get the ball rolling. Luckily for us there isn't a single worthwhile 360 game out in America that hasn't been released in the Asia region, which is playable on the Japanese 360. With the current trend of straight English ports to Asia, you might as well sell your non-Japanese 360 now and pick up a Japanese one now if you don't mind the inconvenience of ordering all your English-Asian games from play-asia instead of just buying the games at your local store. Senko no Ronde RevX is the best thing to happen to the 360 and I for one am not going to miss out just because I wanted to keep my useless American 360.Knuckles-chaotix wrote:Theyll have to make it region free!
Otherwise theyll lose many sales!

No point in selling any console for that matter! As a region free disc will be out anyday now:)

I just traded in my US 360 in box for a used Japanese 360 straight up about 30 mins ago at my local import shop. I'm a risk taker, and no matter what the case is with Senko no Ronde ResOGlas will be playing it at launch!Knuckles-chaotix wrote:No point in selling any console for that matter! COD2:First nextgen 360 game, simply a computer port..
GRAW:Awful Online, Learning Curve frustrately diffucult
DOA4:Fun while it lasted until you recieve 0 gamerpoints for 10 straight losses online
RR6:Drive around cuz yur bored. this game is boring..BOOOORING...the psp version, somewhat indential, is only fun cuz its on the go.
Pro's
Proyakyu Spirits 3-Enter the world of japanese baseball with a learning curve quite like no any other baseball game. Keyword:Cursor Hitting/Batting
Tetris GrandMaster:Mediocre Singleplay, but multiplayer and the diffuculty quite hard, shines, making the gameplay "simple", fun, and challenging to do.
Wrestle Kingdom-first true nextgen wrestling game- gameplay top notch, indeed "the best crowd in a video game"
Sonke No Ronde-u know where that stands.

current 360 hacks do not allow you to change anything, like region coding. only straight copies play, because it still must pass the public/private key encryption scheme. this may never be broken.Fenrir wrote:What are the odds of a conversion?
Don't tell me I have to mod my X360 to play it
I wanted to have a non-modded console for a change but it seems like it's impossible.

Re: .
I hear ya', buddy. My intention wasn't to completely flame the English consoles, I wish I didn't have to go through the trouble of selling my US 360 to get a Japanese one. I'm glad I made the move, 95% of the US games get an Asia release that's in full English. My main issue is that Senko no Ronde is one of my top 10 favorite arcade games and the 360 version just looks so darn awesome. I absolutely can't miss the release of this title.bloodflowers wrote:

Very cool...
Very cool 360.
It's nice too that an actual game is coming to the 360, not the mindless drivel the American system currently has.
And the chances of Senko being region-free? Do I really need to finish that thought?

It comes with a Drama CD. In other words, an Audio Book. Just like Under Defeat I'm hoping that closer to launch they update the info and add more extra with the special edition. I was really hoping for a 360 Faceplate or a poster, not just a lame Drama CD.the allett wrote:anyone know whats coming with the ltd edition thats getting released:)

Well, that's kinda' cool. Guess I'll have to buy my copy of RevX off Yahoo!auctions if I want the telecard. If I ordered from Play-Asia I'd at least get it in the mail decently fast, Yahoo!auctions would take about a month.GaijinPunch wrote:telephone card from Messe Sanno.

Hey, I got a US 360 as a gift. I'm plenty glad to own it seing as how I didn't pay my own money for it, but I don't think it's worth $400 in either region. That being said, I do enjoy some of the games, especially RR6. I've also had quite a bit of fun with DOA4, Rumble Roses, PGR3, and even Quake IV.
What I'm really interested in is SnR (and having Bullet Witch and Shutokou Battle Zero release on the same day makes for a very nice release day). Interested enough to import a system? Nah. But I'd probably grab them if they get any region free versions prior to official US announcements (if any of those games get US releases).

My faceplate listed above? It's just something a made up using the Nyko 360 GameFace kit that you can buy at any EB/Gamestop/CircuitCity for only $15. Pretty neat little product with a very user friendly interface for making any kind of custom faceplate. I just made that since I figured I shouldn't hold my breathe expecting an official Senko no Ronde faceplate. Who knows, much worse games have had official faceplates given away as a preorder bonus. I figure if Messe Sannoh is getting an exclusive Telephone card there's still a chance that SofMap or Yodabashi Camera will get a SnR faceplate for preordering customers. I'm dying to place my preorder at Play-Asia so I can get the game as fast as possible, but I'm going to wait until release week to preorder just in case someplace gets a really cool preorder item. In that case I'll have to win the game off Yahoo Auctions to get the exclusive item. I havn't been this excited about a game release since Resident Evil 4 and Mushihime Sama.ResOGlas wrote:Check out my new Japanese Xbox 360...icycalm wrote:Ummm...
