NESRGB v4 on PAL (FRA) NES - Video is distorted

Post by Beubeu »

Hi everybody,

I recently installed a NESRGB V4 in a PAL (FRA) NES (the one with the multi-out-like output).

I'm using the original RGB cable. Image is scaled with a Retrotink-5X.

Image

As you can see, rows of pixels are slanted, I don't know why. The picture is stable otherwise.
Any idea what might be causing this?

Thx!

It looks like it could be sync jitter. Is J10 open or shorted? If it's open, try shorting it to see if that fixes it.

Documentation says J10 only affects NTSC unfortunately

I have exactly the same problem, did you ever managed to solve it?

Hello, yes I solved it. If I remember correctly, I forgot to close a jumper or two (J4 and J7). Simple user error :).

Thanks! Simple mistake, I followed some youtibe videos that were by NTSC users, so it goes unoticed.
