PS1 Xstation - R-Type Delta And Other Compatibility

Post by Jorel81 »

Hello!

Was just wondering if anyone out there has been using the Xstation a lot. Finally just ordered one cause I'm hoping the compatibility is way better than my PSIO.

Has anyone been playing R-Type Delta on their Xstation? PSIO crashed on stage 5. Can anybody confirm R-Type Delta is solid all the way through?

What about Einhander? Any real issues with games crashing hours into them that anyone is aware of that has not been fixed yet? Would love to hear from some folks who have really put some hours into that thing rather than youtubers who play around with it for a couple hours and say it's amazing.

Just thought I'd ask here. Thanks for any info guys I appreciate it! :)

I've been using one for quite a while. I've seen no issues with mine.

I dont have experience with those games specifically, but also havent heard of many incompatibilities. There are known issues documented here: https://github.com/x-station/xstation-issues

Overall, its a great product. I love my scph-1001 which is again playable after laser failure.

Great!

Can't wait to get mine and actually play games on it.

Figured since so many folks say the Xstation is amazing I'd see more responses but cool. Looking forward to it. :)

The X-Station is truly, nearly 100% compatibility. As far as the games the community has played and tested. Obviously, there's a lot of PS1 games, so nobody has gone through them all to fully check, but I don't think there's any popular, semi-popular or cult classics that don't play great.

So far it's been not bad.

Had some issues with Samsung SD cards and streaming music. Switched to a Sandisc and the issues seems to have gone away.

So far it's been pretty good. I mostly play shmups like R-Type Delta and ZanacXZanac, but so far it seems good.
