I'm specifically trying to figure out how to activate TATE mode for the BurgerTime release with no luck. For Contra, I found it no problem but according to a list compiled on these forums as well as elsewhere, TATE mode exists for the BurgerTime release as well.
Does anybody here happen to own this release and know how to do it?

Not a hardware question - however
Is it not a menu option, like as shown in Oretachi Sonic Wings.

Yeah, I wasn't sure where the most appropriate place to ask this question was. But I know the hardware folks are pretty savy with these kinds of things.pcb_revival wrote:Not a hardware question - however

I tried going through the in-game options and played around with everything with no luck. All I could get was the zoom to change. In the oretachi Contra PS2 release, I was able to change it to TATE no problem with the in-game menu.
Multiple websites (including this one) have BurgerTime listed as having a TATE mode. So I'd like to believe that information wasn't just made up or guessed at. Fingers Crossed.

I know I wasn't able to find a vertical display option in Burger Time either.
I was really fond of the vertical display for Time Pilot and then being able to scale the image in. That Oretachi Geasen series was really pretty awesome for the time. The extra booklets and remix and SFX CDs are cool extras.
