I don`t know for how long, but the moment I ran Radiant Silvergun in MAME, that was exciting. But it runs slow on my PC and the sound has much problems too. Well, not watching the whole dev scene much.

Just Twin Action and Air Attack. Depends on how long you've been out of the scene...maybe missed Progear even?

You could aways just check out www.maws.tk and check out what has been changed/added since your last rev.

Sega ST-V (the hardware underneath RSG, quite similar to the Sega Saturn) work has not progressed since the last big update. ST-V games are still slow on all but the most bleeding edge of systems.

RSG is one of many games that only uses one of the two ST-V CPUs, and as such MAME simply fast-forwards past the wait states on the second CPU, making it much faster than some other ST-V games requiring both processors. But still, much work has to be done to get it to a useful point speed-wise.

Either way, RSG is only one game of thousands. MAME still supports a very large volume of shooters - far more than any currently purchasable console for sure. Now if only someone would see the demand for such things and release an "iRoms" service, I'd be a happy and karmicly balanced individual.
