Anyone here who can flash a TSOP-32 flash chip for me?

Post by bobrocks95 »

I'm working on a PS1 BIOS modification and figured I'd put out feelers anywhere I frequent.

Would anybody here be able/willing to sell me SST39VF040 chips pre-flashed with PS1 BIOS? If copyright is a concern, nocash's PSX-XBOO BIOS can be flashed as well.

I'd like to avoid buying flashing hardware if possible, but it might be my best option. A FlashCat + TSOP ZIF adapter would be around $63 shipped it looks like, but I know I'm probably not going to use it again. Once installed, there's actually software available to flash the PS1 BIOS through a burned CD, so assuming my modifications don't brick the BIOS I can reflash it myself, but you have to have a working BIOS to begin with to load the flashing software.
