Modding a vintage national Panasonic crt

Post by LittleTV98 »

I recently bought a vintage CRT to play megadrive 2, however it's PAL version which means. Squashed resolution. If I mod the console to switch NTSC then of course I will get grayscale image. The TV is also PAL and only has RF and Composite. There is a solution by getting a TV with Scart for rgb but it kinda defeats having a cool portable setup and needing extra space for a TV.

Is it possible to RGB mod or at least S video mod. The tv doesn't not have any OSD either.

Mod the Megadrive, its super fast to test and the TV might accept PAL60.

I have an HDMI to Component converter with ntsc switch. The TV turns black and white :(

Also I'm not an engineer so I can't do any mods myself however I do have the schematics.
