Hi
Not sure if anyone can help with this problem but I have a PC and 360 in my Vert Astro running through a UVC and on the whole I'm pretty happy with it but I've noticed an annoying problem on some games in mame , games that run 224 res seem quite nice and sharp but games that run 240 res are very blurry , I can sharpen the picture by adjusting the vertical size
in mame and this makes it look very nice apart from one thing and that is when the picture is moving from side to side it has a weird scaling effect and on some games I can see it going from sharp to blurry.
I've seen on fudoh's site that you can get an extron rgb interface and adjust the vertical image externally, would this work ? If so what interface is recommended?
Thanks

na, that's a software issue, which to have to solve on your PC's end.
What resolution do you have your PC set to before you output into the UVC ?

Re: UVC / Mame & Sega Astro City
Seem to have got it a bit better enabling integer scaling in my gpu and mame/retroarch
If I got a rgb interface would a DVS 204 be ok ? Or can anyone recommend a decent cheapest model I could use to sharpen up my image a bit more.
Thanks

Take the Groovymame route for direct native modes, man. I think that with that graphics card is still possible, but even if you have to change it, it's a much better solution in every aspect. In other words, nobody uses the official Mame (or Final Burn, or whatever) with an RGB CRT in 2022, take a look.

Re: UVC / Mame & Sega Astro City
Hi
I am building a 2nd GroovyMame machine as I think your right I won't be totally happy until I'm playing native but for the time being I have picked up a RGB 203 RXI to have a play with.
For anyone that knows when I adjust the position do all the dip switches need to be off ?
