Hi
I'm looking for a cheap way to make a pad hack for a PC Engine , I want to use my DB15 arcade stick with a PC Engine but cant decided on the best-cheapest route.
Could I convert one of these ? Or do I even need this ? Or could I make my own PCB up ?
Thanks

You could try this guy's PCB: https://immerhax.com/?p=214
I used to live in Japan and had easy access to old yellowed PCE pads, so I just padhacked one myself (unfortunately the turbo switches only work on inputs from the original pad for some reason, but oh well)

Re: Aliexpress NES pad to PC Engine
What price point are you looking for? How many buttons are you looking to use, and are you expecting to have features like turbo?
Mc cthulhu supports pce. 3-button and 6-button require wiring the home/mode button. 6-button also requires that it run through a multitap. No turbo.
Brooks retro board supports pce, 2-button max. Brooks has has support for turbo. You basically have to wire a button that when pressed will toggle turbo on/off.
Or a cheap pc engine 3rd party pad, and hack it. A nes controller wont directly work.
Or that bare pcb linked above, and build the project.
All options are looking to be in the $30+ range, with the brooks board being the most expensive.

OK, thanks for the suggestions, I managed to pick up a brook ps4 to pce-md adapter, so I'll try that out.
Thanks
