Thief and Lock 'N Chase are both games that are very similar to Pac-Man with a theme of collecting money and running from cops and both released the same year. but am not sure which one released first as Theif has no date so far. Lock N Chase by Data East and Theif by Pacific Novelty.
Yet there not exactly the same in gameplay nor looks Lock 'N Chase has the look of pac-man and the game thief has a similar power ups to the energizers from pac-man when he eats the monsters. with Lock 'N Chase has a gimmick of doors in it. and Thief has really cool digitized audio and sound effects in it.
What are your thoughts on both lock n chase and theif in comparison to the Pac-Man Arcade game? or the 2 games compared to each other
Thought it would be interesting to compare these two games as im sure not too many people compared these 2 games to eachother.

No i was talking about the theif arcade game by Pacific Novelty that has maze gameplay very similar to pac-man and comparing it to Lock N Chase another pac-man clone by Data East with a similar theme to theif
The remake on GB was my first experience with anything Lock 'n Chase related, but I also enjoy the Atari 2600 and Intellivision ports quite a bit. 2600 version is simplified a bit, but still very fun to play.
That Thief arcade game reminds me of those Intellivoice games that make heavy use of voice synthesis.
The Intellivision version of Lock n Chase was one of the first games I ever played, and I love it to this day, prefer it over the arcade actually. The bags and treasure appear after eating a certain number of pellets, and I've got the rhythm of it burned into my brain to this day.
