10 port affordable SCART switcher

Post by VEGETA »

Hello,

I've searched for a review of one of these switchers but couldn't find it, so here is a thread.

This is the one I am talking about:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/313663570564 >> 128$ with case including shipping.

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003711160996.html >> 73$ without shipping (shipping to Jordan is pricey, 73$ by EMS with no cheap option).

Have any of you tested these?

I feel the need for a good test of them since they are like 30% the price of mainstream products. this one is even an automatic switcher with a video showing its function.

I am on tight budget, thus I need to make good decision. not interested in any advanced features, just switch and play but don't want any dimming or noise. I have about 8 consoles now so 10 ports is perfect and I don't need multiple switchers too.

what is your opinion?

best regards

Sometimes people daisy chain switchers by plugging the output of one into another's input. That said, I'd be surprised if you can get two Bandridge 5-1 switchers for less than the cost of one of those. If you're willing to mess with a bunch of adapters, I see KVM 4-1 VGA switcher on Newegg now for $19 USD and Extron has the famous 16x16 matrix, if you're lucky enough to find one. Not positive the KVM will support 240p/480i but I can't think why it wouldn't with passive switching.

The aliexpress switcher when I click link is $80.39 USD with free shipping to me with expected delivery of July 7. If you trust me (you don't have to) I could ship it to you from US to Jordan. Not sure what that shipping would cost. Just DM to discuss.

I haven't tested any of these. I'm small scale and only play two consoles.

Daisy chaining is not suitable for me nor getting adapters to other connections.
Here is the one I want called Ultimate package

https://m.aliexpress.com/item/1005004300273099.html

It has case and scart cable plus USB cable.

Kindly check what will it cost to buy it and what is the shipping cost and method. I do trust you for sure

Thanks for cooperation

The purchase options range from $83.30 for Color 1 without case to $93.30 for Color C with case. I get $3 off coupon that you can have. Can see July 8th estimated delivery.

I don't have a real preference between you buying and shipping to my US address or me buying first. How lucky to be outside of EU import taxes! I have no SCART so not opening or testing before reshipping. Shipping from US, I can use Post Office (USPS), FedEx or UPS. Seems USPS would cost around $20-30 to ship and they tend to be more expensive than the others. Free $100 insurance.

Let me know what option to buy or DM for my address. Money wise, I could accept Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, CashApp, in that order of preference. Or check in the mail in USD that I wait 5 days to clear is fine too.

I want the version with case + scart lead + usb cable. for me it is option "C" or "package C" and it is 81.39$ without shipping. how much is it for you including shipping? see that and see the precise shipping price from you to me and then I will see. Still the seller trying to get better shipping options but I don't think he will do anything better than EMS 73$. what shipping method do they offer to you?

also kindly see the delivery time to you and from you to me, approximately of course.

$90.22 USD. No option of shipping is given. If I enter shipping address and payment method then click place order, it's going to order. Free shipping from China to US with no shipping method specified, is how it works on eBay too. I dunno how shipping is free with $3 USB-C to USB 3.0 adapter, but it is. Retro Access has theory.

so it is about 92$, with 30$ shipping to me it is going to be about 122$ which is the exact same amount at ebay seller. both methods will take a lot.

I will be waiting seller's response if he could get a cheaper method since today is weekend. I will let you know. thanks for everything always!
