75 Ohm Terminating BNC Plugs Needed (PVM Monitor)?

Post by Tempest_2084 »

I came across a post today where someone said they put 75 Ohm terminating plugs on the video out ports on their monitor and it improved the picture. I've also read that these plugs are t necessary if your monitor self terminates. Does anyone know if these plugs are needed on a PVM 1943-MD or does this model self terminate?

PVM 1943-MD has self-terminating inputs and doesn't need terminating plugs. The cheat code is to look for a little squiggly line (a waveform with two peaks and valleys) next to each BNC connector. If you see those, it means the inputs are self-terminating. As a rule of thumb only BVMs should be expected to need these.

Thank you. I didn't think it did, but I thought I'd check.
