I may not be the BEST at CAVE bullet hell shmups but damn do I enjoy them and I continually work towards getting to a 1CC (only ever managed it for CAVE on Deathsmiles) but that doesn't mean I dont love every second of NOT being great.
Anyone have any tips though? It's my next 1CC game I'd like to complete

Practice the last boss over and over so you feel confident when you get there. The rest of the game is pretty tame by CAVE standards. Most of the difficulty is in the final boss. A huge spike in difficulty at the end may seem lame, but ultimately its still one of CAVE's easiest (and that imbalance makes the game very memorable too!). Took me three days of playing 2-3 hours a day to 1CC. Its the only CAVE game I've no missed until the final stage.
Also, don't hoard the slowdown gems. Use them when you need them, don't be a hero and hoard them like a dragon.

Yeah I don't play danmaku games or Cave stuff much at all, and IIRC I got to stage 4 or 5 the one credit I ever played when I had the chance to play the arcade version once. I'd imagine anyone who does some focused practice on this game could get that clear. A lot of times it just comes down to not playing other stuff and focusing for a while without distractions.

I recently cleared the PCB of this several times. You can get a total of 3 extra lives, but can only carry a total of 5, so if you lose a life early, don't fret as you can still max your lives out for the harder sections later. One of the extra lives is hidden in an orb near the end of stage 3. Also, I found that sitting close to the screen made the last boss pattern a lot easier. For the final stage, keep an eye on the top of the screen, and focus on destroying the bigger enemies first as they're the ones that will fill the screen with bullets.

Also, on the final pattern if you bomb the boss it heals him.
You can avoid this by slightly charging your bomb (you're invulnerable duiring this time) and moving to the edge of the screen.
