Trouble updating etim's n64rgb firmware

I'm attempting to update the firmware with a cable I spliced together using this image.

I'm getting this error

Code: Select all

Error (209015): Can't configure device. Expected JTAG ID code 0x020A10DD for device 1, but found JTAG ID code 0x00000000. Make sure the location of the target device on the circuit board matches the device's location in the device chain in the Chain Description File (.cdf).

Make sure the USB cable is a short one and that the N64 is powered on when attempting to flash.
