Stopped by to say hello...
Yea, I've been pretty busy as of late.
I'm using a computer here at work, so I'll have to be brief.
The Chevelle is coming along REAL nice, and I should be able to post some newer pics soon.
Moved out of my grandmothers house, and my girlfriend and I are renting a house. I no longer have access to the internet, except for my lunch breaks here at work.
I havent played a video game in a long time, and all my gaming stuff is currently still at my grandmothers house. I don't trust my current residence without deadbolt locks, and some of the neigbors are low-lifes and WAY too nosy. (they were watching us move in as if we were as important as a weekend superbowl game!)
Helen and myself work the same shift, so the house is empty all day long, and I don't want some low-life hitting the perverbial "jackpot" with my game collection, and other belongings.
Shit, I don't even keep my Chevelle there. It stays locked up in my grandmothers garage.(much better side of town)
Gotta go for now, I'm doing fine, I'll stop by and visit from time to time.
I may buy a laptop before the end of the year for my internet use.
So untill then...

^ Its not so much the "ghetto", but compared to where I used to live, it sort of is.
I'm also within a two minute walk from an old biker bar. I'm not really worried about them, because I can sort of "fit in" with that scene. No...I'm not a sterotypical "biker" type by an stretch, but I'm a rebel for sure!
The freight train vibrates the house, so there's no need to insert any quarters in the bed(joke)
and the bikes thunder down the streets on the weekends till 2am.
Whats really cool though, is that there's a guy with a fenced in lot(barbed wire and all) with a garage off to the side of us. I've seen at least one hotrod/racecar in there.
Its a 1970 Dodge Demon, set up for the drag strip. At least one neighbor has a cool car! Maybe I'll get to know him somewhat.

Heh, those things freak me out. I love trains at night, though! My friend has a house by some tracks and I love to spend the night over there 'cause the sound puts me to sleepTWITCHDOCTOR wrote:The freight train vibrates the house, so there's no need to insert any quarters in the bed(joke)

Congrats on the job! I haven't been keeping up w/ the forums much, so sorry if I missed your mention of that before!

Glad to hear things are are going swimmingly with the new GF. You seemed pretty optimistic about the future last time you posted about her. Probably best to leave your gaming goods at Grandmas until you really get a feel for your new digs. I would personally rather lose my gaming haul to a fire than scumbag thieves.

Only if you are going to keep it on you 24/7 and never leave it in the house. If you are worried about someone busting in - they could easily get a hold of it while you are not there. Then you'll enter a world of lawsuit-hell.Nate wrote:

But it is texas - maybe the laws are different there.
... wish we had a carry law in Illinois

Well, I won't have to worry about guns and "semi" ghetto's, because the relationship was too good to be true.
Yea, we get along fine...sometimes. But after a while, we simply get on each other nerves INTENSELY!!!
I moved back into my grandmothers house last night at 3 am. Hell, my mother could use the extra help taking care of my granny(mother) anyway.
I'm pretty much certian that this will be the last goodbye, as I'm done with this. Its just too much petty bullshit to be worth anything to me. Women tend to be "moody", I understand that, but this chick has some serious issues.
It feels a little strange to be single once again... Man, we were like twins joined at the hip or something!
Oh well, I'll now quote my favorite quote...
"I will always love my car(Chevelle). I can "ride" it whenever I want, and it will always please me. Most of all, it will never, ever bitch moan or complain!"

Yea...maybe so. Actually, "she" was kind of a hobby!!!

I know what you mean though. In fact, last night I actually went for some TATE action with Strikers 1945. I wanted to try out a school desk I got for free at work. I mounted my Namco Arcade Stick to the desk, and its PERFECTION!
Hell, I haven't even touched a video game in like 3 months!!!
Still, I was able to get to stage 5 even after a few tries. I was able to remember most of my patterns. I'm planning on going for it again tonight after work...
Man, it felt great to "Shmup it up" once again!!!
