Gradius Portable today!

Well, today marks the 'ship date' for the Gradius Collection on PSP for North America. Basically what this means is that shmup puppies all over America will be disappointed when they walk into Gamestop and realize that the truck isn't going to make it on time.

'Ship date'...

not 'Release Date'. God i hate that.

Anyway - i'm still going to be blowing phones up all across the city tracking it down. Hopefully by 9:00 pm Arizona time we'll have the game... but it's doubtful. After that the stores CLOOOSSSEEEE.

It's highly doubtful i'll find it in a department store too...
still, nothing says good fun like annoying the shit out of those sarcastic EB guys.

I have been itching for this game from the day it was announced. I'll FINALLY play Gaiden. *drools*

Out of curiosity, why are you waiting for the US version? I don't think I've managed to find any Japanese in my jp version.

Mostly because i wanted to read the manual.

I was hoping it'd have some neat little story recaps.

i always read my new game's manuals on the toilet.

I'm actually hoping the 4 month wait means they cleaned up the emulation in Gradius III... I've heard it was kind of sketchy in the jp release, even for GIII.

Slowdown for Gradius III is pretty bad, it feels slower than the SNES cart. It is the only real dark spot in an otherwise great comp.

I received a new copy of the deluxe Gradius Portable handbook with creator interviews, full page stage maps, concept art. ect. Now if I could only read Japanese I would have you 1 Up'ed. Someday
