I recently bought a Samsung GX TV from a local single owner. Cosmetically, it was in extremely good condition when I picked it up, but the speakers were both out. Google told me it was a common problem and I should be able to repair easily. I did the repair yesterday and took a ton of photos while I had it open. I didn't find any photos of the internals of this iconic TV before I did this, so hopefully someone will appreciate it.

It only has composite inputs and my only working composite console is a N64. I've managed to get a rpi4 to boot to composite so I could run 240p test suite, but the experience is not good. In my excitement after getting the TV, I ordered and assembled a MiSTer intending to eventually RGBs mod this TV and have a dedicated MiSTer setup on it. I've read that the GXE1395 is similar (same chassis?) as the 13" TV that gets RGB modded in these videos:

Part 2: https://youtu.be/NkpSBK3g-gA
The RGB mod performed in those videos was worked out by the wonderful MarkOZLAD in this thread:

Would it make sense that I could follow this process and be able to use my MiSTer w/ RGBs on this sweet TV? Thanks for looking and reading!

Hi I know this is an old post, but I just published a full step by step guide on RGB modding the Samsung GX. You can see it on my github here: https://github.com/brendanseattle/Samsu ... /README.md
