Nothing serious, they just keep on declaring my orders at full value despite repeated requests for them not to. But as it is, I end up having to pay around $10 in customs duties for a single game in a bubble mailer, which I think is a bit ridiculous.SuperGrafx wrote:Why, what happened?iatneH wrote:I'm on a little personal boycott of play-asia.
The problem is that YesAsia sometimes does this with pre-orders too when they can't obtain copies until like a week or a few days after release. Now, thankfully, YesAsia has an American branch that makes up for the time by shipping domestically, but the waiting time for pre-orders can be pretty annoying sometimes (even though other times there's no delay at all).twe wrote:Pre-orders always work fine with Yesasia. Unlike many other online game shops, Yesasia deals mainly with pre-orders and often has little to no on hand stock after a game is released. I and many others on this site have preordered games from them and the transactions have always been smooth. All game shops run out of stock on games, it's no reason to condemn a game shop!
That's no reason for them not to update their site immediately so others know that said product is no longer in stock.twe wrote:Yesasia deals mainly with pre-orders and often has little to no on hand stock after a game is released.
I think you missed the spot where I mentioned that I 1) emailed them multiple times 2) didn't get a response until late 3) ended up being told one of their games isn't in stock and 4) I'M STILL FUCKING WAITING FOR THE GAME. If that's not a reason to condemn an online shop, I don't know what is.I and many others on this site have preordered games from them and the transactions have always been smooth. Is that why they have no telling of this on their website, and they don't inform others? Again, not the buyers problem. All the buyer needs to worry about is payment, and shipping. The rest should be up to them. If their information is incorrect on the website, they should have changed it. I was told that Gunstar Treasure Box is out of stock, yet they managed to take 2 weeks before telling me this. And I'm someone who has never dealt with yes-asia before. Not a good image, if you ask me.As for waiting 5 weeks for Last Blade, that could be due to many factors--the availability time given on yesasia's site (most non pre-order games say 'available in 7-14 days' though some can take up to 30 days--this is due again to the fact they carry little on-hand stock after a game is released and they have to order a copy from distributors for you)
Although play-asia is more expensive, I've never had a problem with them. Perhaps it's where you live and what area of the world you're currently in, but I've managed to get quite a few games from play-asia without hassle. They're still slow, since they do need to come from hong kong to australia, but at least everything was good.As for P-A.com being 'guaranteed', I have had TWO packages get lost in transit from P-A (and I've only ordered about 10 games from them, so that's 20%). Never had that happen from Yesasia.
You can stop being a tard any time now.But hey, if you'd rather spend the extra $20 for the heck of it, knock yourself out!

I'm definately ordering from yesasia! Prey that we get red blood option in the port.
That's not true, I pre-ordered both Castlevania and Contra Oretachi a full 3 weeks in advance of release and they waited until the June 1st to tell me they didn't have the games in stock and wouldn't be getting them in stock. Obviously the refunded my money, but it was an incovenience and I will think twice before I use them again.twe wrote:Pre-orders always work fine with Yesasia. Good to know that, I hadn't heard of problems with pre-orders from them before. I still preordered the game from yesasia though.Nemo wrote:That's not true, I pre-ordered both Castlevania and Contra Oretachi a full 3 weeks in advance of release and they waited until the June 1st to tell me they didn't have the games in stock and wouldn't be getting them in stock. Really? Well, I preordered Ibara from Yesasia and they gave me the Arcadia booklet, while I also preordered the game from P-A and they did NOT include the booklet. So it looks like in this case P-A were the ones to 'steal' the pre-order bonus.Ganelon wrote: However, the fact that YesAsia sometimes steal your pre-order bonuses and sell them separately is what pisses me off. And that's why I'd only use Play-Asia for a game I know has pre-order bonuses but YesAsia for other games due to the almost always cheaper price.
I'm hoping that shit gets fixed for the home port. *crosses fingers* Frankly, it'd be better to have the blood totally taken out than be turned into jizz. White blood simply looks retarded. This reeks of 1992 Nintendo.Fenrir wrote:What about the white blood? It's 2006 and there's still this humunguous, outdated hypocrisy show?
How sad.
Very strange. I ordered Oretachi CV like 2 months before release and they shipped it May 27/28 (already received it).Nemo wrote: That's not true, I pre-ordered both Castlevania and Contra Oretachi a full 3 weeks in advance of release and they waited until the June 1st to tell me they didn't have the games in stock and wouldn't be getting them in stock. Yeah, Ibara was a freak case. Of course, Play-Asia didn't steal the pre-order bonus; Taito just decided to idiotically not give HK distributed JP copies the pre-order bonus whereas YesAsia somehow won the initial bid for all the bonus copies and very strangely didn't keep the bonus as they've done for many other pre-orders, such as all the PS2 SNK games.twe wrote: Really?
