Shmup over the Pacific Ocean

This happened a couple weeks ago:

I was flying home from my annual mainland vacation (my remedy for island fever), playing Capcom Collection on PSP, when the dude sitting in the aisle seat across from me taps my shoulder and asks, “Hey, I also have that game, you want to play 1941 or something together?”

I eagerly agreed, dude fires up his PSP, and through the magic of Wi-Fi we commenced to blissfully credit feed through the entire game. It was really fun and kinda surreal as my normal shmup habitat is not playing with a stranger 35,000 feet over the ocean. Since the dude had skills I was going to ask if he was a fan but for some reason didn’t ask before we jumped into Captain Commando.

That’s it, just thought I’d share a shmups story from the field!

Trust me, it can get a little monotonous and boring here... even with lively people like me just down the street.

Cool story. The only better thing I could think of is if it was a girl, and she rewarded your mad shooting skills with sexual favors while the rest of the passengers slept. Oh... and that you were travelling alone. (wink).
