Any others?
Boutique arcade sticks
Re: Boutique arcade sticks
Good God what overpriced garbage!
I sure am glad that I am a man, and as such, have woodworking skills.
But even for you women out there, or those who want a metal enclosure, there is AllFightSticks.
https://allfightsticks.com/
MicroCenter also makes a decent and well priced two-player American-style MDF control panel with a curved button layout. It is available with or without a rather nice Atari-branded/themed overlay graphic.
You don't have to throw your money away at low-quality products masquerading as "boutique" devices. Four-hundred pounds for a sanded wooden box with some holes drilled or two-hundred dollars for a $20 plastic project box like you get from electronics hobby stores. WOW.
This is bad and you should feel bad.

I feel so bad.
Re: Boutique arcade sticks
I occasionally make Atari 7800 sticks with generic clone hardware and an industrial grade sloped enclosure. I charge $55 but I at least try to make them look nice.
This isn't an advertisement seeing as I don't expect anyone here plays 7800 games but more to back up SCARTicus that triple digits is a lot to pay for something you could make yourself.

I've heard good things on twitter about the bxfoundry boxes actually, though at the end of the day they're some Sanwa parts in a plastic box. They're certainly ultra-compact and I don't think the price is actually *that* insane considering what you get.
An AllFightSticks enclosure + buttons/joystick + a Brook Retro board or MC Cthulhu will cost more, but you would get so much more versatility out of it.
In the end it's way more than I'd spend for a single console stick, but then again my Sanwa'd Hori Fighting Edge with a Brook Retro Board comes to like $350 and I've got a lot of DIY work to do...
