Sony PVM 1354Q broken spacer
Hey guys. I bought an used 1354Q listed as working but with some issues. When I opened it up, I noticed that the green plastic spacer (I really don't know the name of this piece) that goes into the tube and between the neck board was broken. I removed the neck board to get a better view of it but it is completely shattered and some pieces are burned/melted (the neck board connector and the tube do not show signs of heat damage) Could I 3D print it and replace? Does anyone know any other tip for this? Or maybe I just need to buy another cheap set to get that part...

Trinitrons use different tubes to most other CRTs, with different pin spacing. And different eras on Trinitron are different too, i believe.
You don't technically *need* that part, but it's probably a good idea as it'll protect the pins and the glass around them better. You'll do best 3d-printing a part. I'd be keen to grab the model as well.

That's what I thought. That the the monitor would work without it but serves as structural support/guide and protection like you said. I'm in the process of modelling the part and I'll upload it for anyone to use it.buttersoft wrote:Trinitrons use different tubes to most other CRTs, with different pin spacing.
