Don't get any power ups. Just get the yellow bells so you can rack up a huge amount of points.

In the original Twin Bee, I can manage to score more than 650,000 points before reaching level 4 ...

Honestly, just grab a speed-up or two (And they are easy to get), a double shot, and forget everything else, go for score. The extends are worthy :)

Yeah, it takes a while to get accustomed to bell-catching. My advice is - train yourself with Yahho-! that has plenty of ground powerups ready to pick up.

I never liked Twinbee much (although to be fair I have'nt given it much of a chance), but I love the Parodius games. If parodius was to be without the cutesy characters and wacky weapons (SHAVING IS BORING), it would lose all of it's charm.
