Future game purchases

Post by Never_Scurred »

whats next on your list?
I plan on getting Street Fighter III for the PS2 and some memory cards.
Thinking about getting the Metal Slug games for PS2 even though I have the roms. I'd feel much better having the actual copy of the games since these are my favorites.

Mega Man ZX
CastleVania Portrait of Ruin
God Hand
Ultimate Ghosts and Ghosts
Gradius Portable
Street Fighter Alpha Collection
Raiden 3

Capcom is on the roll! They're about the only ones nowadays that'll release a game hard as balls and 2D.

Have a Dreamcast? I highly recommend SFIII Double Impact, it is simply amazing (so is Third Strike).

Games I will be purchasing in the near future:
Taito Legends 2 (Release Date? When?!)
Outrun 2006 Coast2Coast
Street Fighter Anthology (I may import this one)
What more can I say I wouldn't be here today if the old school didn't pave the way.

Word. I'm dying for Earthbound 2. Although, since they haven't announced an English release date yet and Nintendo seems to have basically given up on the GBA...I see no hope.

Well like Earthbound, EB2 could also be a late comer.
I'm mainly interested having nearly completed EB, however I screwed myself in The Cave of the Past, now I need to rely on levelling.
Oh well, here's to hoping EB2=reality.

For the immediate future, I'm not really planning to get much, and in fact I'm gettlng a bit burned out on games in general right now and finding other things to do. There's only a few games (mostly DS stuff) I'm interested in right now, and those seem to be a little while off still. My list:

DS:

Big Brain Academy
Starfox Command
Elite Beat Agents
Yoshi's Island 2
Kirby DS
CV: Portrait of Ruin

X360:
Lost Planet
Forza 2
Lumines Live

I'll probably also get a DS lite as soon as I can walk into a store and grab one off the shelf (I don't know what the launch is going to be like for that, but I don't plan to camp for one. I've also given thought to finally getting a PS2 to catch up on the stuff I missed, but I'm not in a big hurry (and I want to be sure to find one I can mod to play imports.)

I want to import a few more japanese PS2 titles, I think.

Since I'm in aus, I will be importing Okami from the US, Valgar from japan, and perhaps a couple japanese games. Not sure which.

I'm hoping the new Sensible Soccer will be as good as the original.
I'm also hoping it will have online play.

It doesn't. Opinion has been bitterly divided on this issue. For me it's a dealbreaker, and I'd happily have waited and paid more for one that worked over Live. And on the 360.

I am praying day by day by day by day that someone localizes and translates Okami. That's a sure buy in my list, that game is fantastic. Also, Senko no Ronde rev. X if it ever reaches the European shores.
Alas, Ikaruga is going...

Undesired, unwanted them...

I've heard that it is getting localised and released in September. Whether or not it'll retain the quirky dialogue and feel of the Japanese original remains to be seen.

As for Senko no Ronde, I highly doubt it.

I've got nothing major in my purchase list at the moment, so I'm spending all spare funding on filling out the collections for my current anime and manga related obsessions, namely artbooks, figurines, DVDs, OSTs and stuff. Currently anything to do with Aria, Fate: Stay Night and it's sequel Fate: Hollow Ataraxia, as well as Komatsu E-Ji artbooks.

Yes, Okami has already been confirmed for america in September. Even if it delayed, I don't think they will cancel the process.

But they will probably ruin the box art - which is a minor detail though.

They should have left Sensible Soccer alone. Honestly.

Neither Jon Hare or Chris Chapman are working in this AFAIK. The game probably will have only its name and nothing else.

Sensible Soccer just CAN'T be brought to the new millenium. I think it's a blasphemy someone wants to make a "modern update" of this game.

But yeah, let's hope for the best.

Peter at Genki Video Games (www.genkivideogames.com) is getting me Super H.Q. and Aero Blasters for the Sega Megadrive imports today from Japan. I have to pay him around $73 with shipping from London to the US. Problem, my car is having problems and I have to fix it! :x

I have to tell Peter to try to hold it a week or two before I'm able to give me his money.

I'm buying Mother3/Earthbound 2 once there's a release in English. I've tried the ROM (shame on me!) and it's hard to play an RPG in Japanese if you don't know the language!
