I just picked up a Sharp 27SC260 but I noticed that the green input is failing, but only on the Component input. Green works through composite just fine, but through Component it's either VERY week (only the brightest values show) or not there at all. I can actually see the color bars change sometimes if I leave it on. Normally I'd say that the gun is just crapping out, but it works for composite so that can't be it. Is this something that's easily fixable or should I give up and get a different set? My guess is to fix something like this it would need a recap or something which is out of my league.
Also, how do you get into the service menu on these?

I figured out how to get into the service menu, but turning up the green didn't help. Definitely something wrong with the green input on the component side of things. I guess I'll have to open it up and take a look.

And it turns out that the green was just fine. It was my stupid component cable that was failing! I can't believe I didn't notice that...
So I was finally able to get a good look at the geometry of this set and it seems pretty darn good except for some pincushioning that I need to figure out how to fix. That and the upper right corner pulls up a bit, is that something playing with convergence strips can fix?
I apologize for the weird washed out colors on these photos, I had to turn the exposure up to get rid of the black vsync bar.

This set has excellent geometry already. You can bring the corners in using strips, just be mindful of purity.
