the trailer looks crispy omg
cant wait to watch it
Has anyone translated it? If so, is there a link or anything like that?Valgar wrote:We already know how the rank works...there is a JP guide on it too.
Well, to an extent I suppose you're right, seeing as we have the general idea of what needs to be done, but maybe I'm weird in wanting the specifics...knowing what bits of angering the rank are easiest to get away with, heh heh. I'm also still curious as to whether Ibara works like Garegga in that the rank "rolls over" at certain points and is impossible to reduce past those points once they've been exceeded...or whether it's a bit more "open" than that.I mean, we don't know the math and shit, but you don't need that.

It is assumed that the system is similar to Garegga's rank system with the roll over counting, with the extra addition of the weapon strengths affecting the rank count.BulletMagnet wrote:'m also still curious as to whether Ibara works like Garegga in that the rank "rolls over" at certain points and is impossible to reduce past those points once they've been exceeded...or whether it's a bit more "open" than that.

Yeah, seconded. It'll be interesting to see ther Dyne replays though, as the speed of the ship will make the game play more difficult. At least it's close to a second Raizing DVD release as we're going to get, though. I'd still like to see a Batrider, Bakraid, Brave Blade or Soukyugurentai DVD some day.cigsthecat wrote:Oh snap.
I guess I have to spend a billion dollars on a dvd now.

Here's to hoping.
Assumed...but not confirmed. Where's Rando with a "sapere aude!" or two to back me up?Icarus wrote:It is assumed that the system is similar to Garegga's rank system...
Hm, does that type of book go into that much depth? If it does, that'd be great, if someone would be willing to translate. Even though I'm not that "serious" of a player, I do like to have as much "hard" info about how a game works as I can, rather than being forced to guess and estimate. But you already knew that. The replay DVD might come with a booklet that has the Arcadia guide included, much like INH's previous booklets. If it does, then it will all be covered within the booklet.
I don't think it'll ever be confirmed without direct information from Cave and Yagawa himself, much like Raizing did when Garegga came out, handing out nuggets of info to the peeps that made the Garegga Handbook.BulletMagnet wrote:Assumed...but not confirmed. Most/all of the INH DVDs have come with a little booklet with tips, maps and other assorted info. Garegga's was a complete reprint of the aforementioned Garegga Handbook, Raiden Fighters was reprints of Gamest guides and articles, Ketsui had maps and system info, ditto with Mushi. Cant say anything about the Trizeal/XIIStag one as I don't have it yet, and Viper Phase One was an OST with a bonus replay disc, so no booklet there.BulletMagnet wrote:Hm, does that type of book go into that much depth? That's been reposted several times now, in Ibara threads. ^_-BulletMagnet wrote:Thanks for the link to the translation you posted, not sure how I missed it before now.
You contradict yourself, Magnet-of-Bullets-san. ^_-BulletMagnet wrote:I'm not that "serious" of a player, I do like to have as much "hard" info about how a game works as I can, rather than being forced to guess and estimate. But you already knew that.

One would figure that they'd have put at least a few relevant tidbits in, say, the instruction manual, or the mini-booky-thingy (to use the technical term, of course) that some copies of the PS2 port came with...then again, I can't read either one, has anyone seen anything like that therein? Granted, having a general idea of what to do is okay, but especially considering the hardcore crowd which makes up the majority of those playing a game like this, you'd figure that they'd demand more specific, officially confirmed info to further refine their game...honestly, how ironic is it that a marshmallow like me is the one concerned about this stuff?Icarus wrote:I don't think it'll ever be confirmed without direct information from Cave and Yagawa himself, much like Raizing did when Garegga came out, handing out nuggets of info to the peeps that made the Garegga Handbook.
"Magnet-of-Bullets-san?" Hee hee, well, seeing as I've called you "Icky" on occasion, methinks I can let this pass. You contradict yourself, Magnet-of-Bullets-san. ^_-
A non-serious player is one that plays oblivious to the inner workings of the game in front of him/her. A serious player is one that likes to know how the game works, and requests info to learn. ^_-
