Good Website for Shmup News?

Hey guys, I hope this is the right section of the forum to writing this. If not, then mods, feel free to move this to the relevant section.

I was wondering if anyone knows of a website that has up-to-date news on shmups releases? I've missed out on multiple limited runs of switch shmup games because I've only heard about them way after they've been out of print.

If there was some sort of clear website that highlights up and coming releases, as well as announcements of new shmups, that would be great!

Yes, I know there are these forums, but announcements can be quickly pushed down if there's more action going on in other threads at the same time.

I used to go to siliconera to find news but that was a mixed bag and I'd just find stuff here quicker

Wanting clear news of releases, developments, etc. Not threads where some announcements quickly fall out of the first page by more popular threads. Oh, well. Guess a site doesn't exist.

It’s a niche/dying genre with one of the most hardcore/insular fan bases in all of videogames.

With no financial incentive, only passion could lead to the creation of such a site. Do you have it?

Elixir is great - like aphex explains, it's a pure passion project. I support him on Patreon purely because I'm delighted that someone, somewhere has the love and energy to devote to shmup news. In fact, the only creators I support are shmup ones. There's no money in shmup news so we rely on the passion and dedication of fans. If that's a thing you value, perhaps you could support these people too.

No, I don't. And I don't really get what your point is here.

I've seen websites for things far more niche than shmups, so I had assumed that at least one existed somewhere.
