Congrats mate
I've pretty much lost all faith on a 1cc on this, on my last high score I lost 2 lives on the last attack.
And thats with the bombing to the side strategy....

Well, I had a particularly great run today. I've just been practicing 5-2 the past week or so now and again from a replay I had saved with 4 lives left at the start of the stage. After I cleared it with those four lives today, I gave a full run a shot and I managed to no miss to the second form of the final boss rush, right after the egg-with-wings form. The death was actually really stupid, but I wound up clearing it with 2 lives left, with liberal use of the bomb. There are certain spots in the pattern that open up, where you can bomb to the side, then slide in to a spot where you'll be safe for a few moments before you either have to bomb your way out, or shift to another spot.

Congratulations man!
I'm still striving to get my first cave 1CC. Hopefully real soon although it seems I will be sidetracked with playing Radirgy for a bit.
Put any thought on the next 1CC to go for?

Thanks. I'm selling my PS2 in a few days so I can pay rent for March, which sucks cause I kinda wanted to start working on DDP DOJ. I got both Galuda and DOJ within a week of each other last April and because I liked the mechanics of Galuda so much, DOJ didn't get much attention from me. I think I'm just going to get a used dreamcast this week and give Radirgy a shot, though my focus is mostly going to be the copy of Border Down I got from Laydock awhile back that's been gathering dust.
Tomorrow I'm going to give it a few more shots to see if I can clear it again and push my score a little bit.

Congratulations to Acid King for the 1CC, and MrMonkeyMan for the top score...incredible.
I haven't played for a few months now, but here's a score that I got during my time away from the forum:
PlasmaDancer - 11,797,000 - 4 - Ageha
It's not a huge improvement by any means, but at least I've got something to attack now that I'm coming back to the game after a 6 month break (oh dear)...

Sorry for bothering you MrMonkeyMan, this one is my limit and I guess it won't change for a long time - I broke most of the stage records in this run...
btw. you decided to keep Stahlfeder scores?
