I can't stop listening to Thee Headcoats and Teengenerate.

It's shocking how much utterly crapass Japanese music that people will get into - "They totally did the Fooly Coolo soundtrack!" - yet nobody ever knows anything about Teengenerate.

If you like metal, there are a few leaks recently you should check out.

Anata - The Conductor's Departure
Agalloch - Ashes Against the Grain
Strapping Young Lad - The New Black

The Anata and Agalloch are fucking great, and the same goes for SYL, though I haven't had a chance to digest it yet.

Teengenerate - "Savage"
Kool G Rap and DJ Polo - "Killer Kuts"
Jimmy Smith - "Back at the Chicken Shack"
Weird Al Yankovic - "Poodle Hat"
The Mummies - "Death by Unga Bunga"
The Mummies - "Never Been Caught"
Ice T - "Power"
Too Short - "Born to Mack"
KMD - "The Best of KMD"
Dangerdoom - "Occult Hymn"
Zeke - "Flat Tracker" (Daytona RULES!!!)
Phantom Surfers - "XXX Party"
Lullaby for the Moon - (traditional Japanesey stuff, I can't spot an actual title)
The Spits - 'greatest hits' type thingy I made
Run DMC - 'greatest hits' type thingy I made
Basil Poledouris - "Conan the Barbarian"
Master P - "Bounce Dat Azz" Only the one song. My old friend Loki put together a playable version of that unreleased fighting game Thrill Kill like seven years ago and this song and NWA's "Straight Outta Compton" were the entire soundtrack. I hate Master P but I LOVE this particular song. I've been playing it at least one thousand times a day for almost a week.

The following are for MadSteelDarkness's enjoyment:

I have Larry the Cable Guy: The Right to Bear Arms constantly spinning in my car's CD player.

I also bought the Cars Soundtrack because I dug the music they played in the movie.

Thanks much for that, Pa.

So, The Spits played three shows that week. They played at Jackalope (where I saw 'em), opened for The Motels at a Texas Rollergirls match, and did this gig as well.

"Let us play your party"...indeed!

That Mummies video is super sweet. Extra points for that old fifties live-TV look.

I'm off to catch Sonic Youth play at a BarBQ joint/amphitheater in an hour, so I'm getting psyched with:

Sonic Youth - Daydream Nation, Dirty, Sister, and Bad Moon Rising

I know they won't play any songs off those records though. Ah well.

YOB - The Unreal Never Lived -- Again and again. I try to listen to more doom, but it's still this at the very top, then Candlemass and Esoteric. I hope something good becomes of AGE.
NNCK - Qvaris
Ground Zero - Consume Red
Erase Errata - Nightlife -- Not too disappointing! Still some noisy guitar in there, but the lyrics can be pretty annoying.
Splendor Mystic Solis - Heavy Acid Blowout Tension

Almost forgot Six Finger Satellite - Severe Exposure. Love all over again.

I've always liked Siamese Dream really well. Brings back some good memories. The Beach Boys are geniuses.

Currently waiting on my copy of odessey and oracle by the Zombies to arrive from amazon. Have a best of album by them but it's just not enough. Thought that might be a good place to start and then check out the Colin Blunstone album. I want to get the Mainliner album also. They make such a huge sound. Pretty wild. Have a few Charalambides songs. They sound good also. Makes me sleepy though. Many other albums I need to check out.

Anyways keep those completely awesome tunes coming.

Yeah, O&O is one of the best pop albums ever. If you like the Zombies One Year is really easy to get into. I think it's on the same level. For Charalambides I think Joy Shapes is the best bet if you ever try an album.
