For shits and giggles I played some Merzbow and Steve Reich over the PA once at my old job. I cut it in between the playlist so whenever a song ended, some bits and pieces of noise would cut in at max level for a bit and then the next song would come in.

Really? Well, I know, I like being the youngest around myself and when it's about my music! If someone know who Robert Hood is (a detroit techno artist), you know it's REALLY RARE to hear a 14 year old boy listening to him :)

Welcome! What are some particular bands you like (anything like Ulrich Schnauss, Mark Van Hoen, Children's ice cream/tomorrowland, Isan, or Third Eye Foundation?)? Seems like you're into some good genres.

I didn't know anyone else knew about Ulrich Schnauss. I stumbled upon an MP3 of his somewhere (On My Own, I think it's called). I really dig it. Now, I can't seem to find too much else about him.

I've been listening to Schnauss for about 4 years now, since his first LP 'far away trains passing by' was released. I really love his music. I think I like his second LP a bit more ('a strangely isolated place') though. You can thankfully buy both for cheap with bonus tracks since they were released recently in the US (I forget the record label). Schauss also did a really cool cover of Slowdive's "crazy for you" which appears on the recent Slowdive tribute album "blue skied an' clear" (on Morr records Germany).

Anyway get either of his two LPs and you'll be glad you did! Great music with a really original sound. He's working on his third LP right now, should be released sometime this year hopefully. He's done a lot of remix work lately as well (such as projects for Rachel Goswell and Neil Halstead).

Nau: I forgot to ask, since you're from Sweden, are you into any of the great Swedish bands like The Legends, Club 8, Acid House Kings, or The Radio Dept?

there's so much to do
