They're comparing CG to in-game which is inaccurate.

But I heard the game was only half done.

That's what it's about! All of last year's demos were pre-rendered; they were not valid as to give an idea of what the games would actually look like. Now, I've seen the new trailer. If it is ingame, it is a fine-looking game (probably plays like crap, like all Tekkens). But it's nothing earth-shaking.

All PS3 games will probably look worse than the videos. In contrast, take Red Steel for the Wii; what they showed on this E3 looked better than the trailer they had released before. Why? Because they always used real in-game images all along, and they're still getting it done!

Japanese devs made games for PS2 instead of Xbox during the last generation, which is why they have such little knowledge using shaders. T6 is okay polygon-wise, but it need some MUCh better lighting to look remotely next-gen.

To me the photos look a lot like PS2 graphics. The only way I can see the PS3 effect is if I'm watching the game live in front of my face.

Why are you comparing masterpieces which took years in the making to complete such as ICO and SotC to an unfinished version of Tekken 6? That's insulting.

All I have to say is LOL. I love how they diss on every fucking ps3 game using a 50% complete game for comparison. It stinks of ignorant fanboys, who no matter how good a game on a Sony console might look, it'll look like like shit to them. My bullshit detector went off the minute I saw the big Sonic logo and the words ukresistence. I'd call my website the whateverresistance if I was fighting for some truly admirable cause, not bitching about how I hate Sony.

No, it's a joke: their satire of their version of a lame teenage girl who has bad things happen when she plays Animal Crossing (none of those things happen in the real game of course
