Yep. Played it lots in both 2P and 4P campaigns. It can be a little slow multi-player (i.e. more than 2 players) but is fun (Titan is probably a lot better fantasy multi-player but REALLY long... Cosmic Encounter is another great multi-player sci-fi game). Anyway, Wizard Kings is quite good and my favorite of the Columia Block series of games which introduce fog-of-war concepts to the tabletop format (that is, your enemy can't see the face side of your units until combat and after combat must remember where, what and how much damage for each unit). I came up with my own 2P scenario that is slightly more balanced than the one in the rulebook - giving a little more excitement to the "introductory" setting but there are TONS of scenarios out there and you can experiment with your own.

Anyway, boardgames are still one of the best social experiences. My wife and I play in several local game groups and I help run a semi-annually board game convention in the area. I grew up with family game nights and always enjoyed them (starting with Monopoly and Trivial Pursuit and later moving on to Chess, Cribbage and Rummy variants). These days, I have found that most adults only treat boardgames as kids games - there are tons of great games (especially games from Europe - but also the games like Wizard Kings and Titan which were done in the US) that are geared for an older audience. It's too bad stores like Toys-backwards-R-Us mostly stock the crappy candy-land knock-offs... but just like Video Games sometimes you need to mail-order the best stuff. Anyway, traditional boardgames are healthy both socially and mentally (and physically for dexterity based games) and are great ways to spend some free time with friends and family. Congrats on your purchase!
