I suppose it's possible to like that movie in a typical ironic, postmodern, decontextualized way, but even that can hardly mask how bad it really is.

What a joke. I'd like to kick my own ass for watching those clips. CIT really set the record straight for this truly awful looking movie.

Aside from the power glove line and the business men playing Double Dragon, it's actually surprisingly boring.

The one chick in it is cute though.

I enjoyed watching the movie when I was in grade school. Made me go out and buy the power glove, so stupid back then. The glove was total waste of money.

Aw c'mon guys...where's your sense of nostalgia? I can say that back in the days of Nintendo, videogames were hardly anything to sneeze at. This is before the concept of arcade games really took off as something you could play in your own home.

I did a reasearch paper on videogames a while ago and one of the older concepts people used to do, before the concept of a high score generator was built into the videogame...people used to use a piece of tape and stick it to the top of the game machines and write their name and high score.

Another thing too is that when Nintendo released their console to America, it was actually the first time a lot of us gamers actually tried our hand at videogames. Atari and PC games weren't exactly something a little kid would know much about back then. I was born in 1982 and I can attest to that.
The world would be a better place if there were less shooters and more dot-eaters.
