Surprised they don't have the "The Best" label art picture up yet. Oh well, $25 off is worth it over the better cover art IMO. I already bought it though back in November ;(

I feel your pain: I bid on two VHS copies of Drunken Master 2 about three months before Legend of the Drunken Master was released on DVD. I won both auctions, and my bid was $45 on each.

I ended up only slightly screwing myself, tho- One of the auctioneers put a $20 in with my copy, along with a note asking why I'd pay so much for an old kung fu movie.

Arrrrgh, I just bought a *used* one for 5000Y on yahoo japan... and then Akibado are going to take I don't know how much more on top of that. My reasoning was that if the taito best version didn't come up prices would only go up.... looks like I got it wrong. Bah.

In any event, I'm still hoping for a "Taito Best" version of Homura...I was already suckered into buying Mushi, heh heh. Though that wasn't as bad as when I bought a used Psikyo Collection 3 literally days before the Best version of that came to light...argh.

What will happen to the original edition is, its value will drop so much that you will end up owing someone money.

Seriously, I expect its value will degrade slightly, or not so slightly if it happens to have identical box art.

I was going to ask the same thing. Knowing Cave/Taito, I highly doubt it. My money is on this being a reprint with different box art.

Ah well... I got my original late last year, and I'm happy with it. With all the shit games out there in the world, I don't mind "wasting" $30 on Cave.

Consider it costs $0.25 a credit play the game in the acrade, I think you have already earn back all that you paid for your copy in the last year.
