Bah. I had a no-miss run up to the stage 5 boss and arrived there with a full stock of five bombs. I was sure that the 1CC was at hand, so I got over-confident and ran into the next yellow boomerang.
Trizeal

Yes, I rock.
Actually, I think I can do better. This was by no means a perfect run. I missed the bonus bomb in stage 5 and bombed once too often at the stage 5 boss. But, well, I guess I will take a little break from Trizeal for the moment.

The 100% is quite easy to achieve in stage 4 (not as easy as in stage 3 or 1, but still). The asteroids and the ships hiding inside the asteroids don't count for the shotdown rate. So you only have to clear all normal ships and all the Space Invaders cannons in the bonus scene. The latter is the only tricky part, because sometimes the cannons have a habit of hiding at the left and right edges of the screen.davidholliss wrote:99.18%must have only missed a couple of ships

Congratulations!
Definitely take a break, you deserve it--But, don't stay away for too long.
Myself, I've had my TV in YOKO for quite some time, now... which is great for my Giga Wing, but has me itching to play Trizeal. I'm excited for the official ranking to be reopened as well; It looks like it should be back up any day now! I'd love to see some more of stage 4. They should have asteroid plushies.

Woo! I've been checking every day to see; In fact, I checked right before I went out today, and I just got back, so...
I archived all of the pages (I think) earlier in the week, but haven't put them up anywhere because (of course) they're copyrighted and I haven't asked for permission.
Anyway, I've been dying to get back into the game for at least a week. Wow! The rankings pages are all internationally-friendly! I sort of miss the katakana, though...

Done this on the new PS2 version. The fact that there's more slowdown in some places makes this version a bit easier than the DC one. (Very noticable when fighting X-5.) The new 30s/s rapid fire makes short work of Trineme and Tattoo and is very useful for surgically taking apart Core's shields.
Anyway, this was a very crappy run. I played awfully badly. I missed the 100% in stages 1 and 4, lost one life in stage 2 (how stupid is that?) and finished the game on my last life with no bombs left. I know I can do better.
