Hello gents,
I'm currently stumped about this problem and need to find answers from the experts here. I have a jamma cabinet with a Scart2Arc adaptor (Viletim) for use with my scart capable devices. The cabinet was previously running a dreamcast fully wired with no problems and I had a Dreamcast controller PCB wired up to Tim's board for full controls. I took it out because I dismantled a Mayflash F300 to install all the insides on a board next to Tim's adaptor in the cabinet for use with my PS3/X360 via Scart on the cab. I tried hooking it all up but the controls aren't working on the cabinet via the Mayflash. The Mayflash itself is functioning, as the "Home" button triggers on the PS3 when pressed, but that home button is part of the leftover dip switch piece of the original arcade stick I gutted (not wired to Tim's board). I wired player 1 controls (Up, Down, Left, Right and the first 3 Jamma buttons) initially to test, but nothing. I think I'm just doing it wrong (I'm not a tech genius please excuse me).
I was assuming each button/direction on the Mayflash board was a ground/button wire (there are two wires, all labeled on the board silkscreen), so first I tried chaining the grounds all to ground on Tim's board, and then hooking the correct buttons/directions to the terminals on Tim's board, but nothing.

I noticed another "ground" pin on the side of the Mayflash PCB. Do I need that ground pin hooked to Ground terminal on Tim's board instead?

I am really stumped! I think I have hooked this up a few different ways and nothing works. I would be extremely grateful if someone with more experience than me could chime in to point me on the correct path, I was hoping someone here tried this already and knew how to do it.
Thank you for any help
