Hey guys!
Here is my opinion of a game I imported from Japan about a year ago called XDR for Sega Genesis. I thought the game had excellent music for such an early Japanese Genesis game and the graphics were typical but very good. The gameplay is short but sweet with 6 challenging levels and the bosses shamelessly rip off the Gradius bosses. I think that this game should have gotten a US release from Sage's Creation because it's a fun shooter.

I have XDR and I think it is really unoriginal, boring, and has bland graphics and music. The colours and design of the graphics are OK, but they repeat like every 32 pixels, making it look like an NES game. And a Gradius rip-off. Why play this when there is Thunder Force?
If you want to work your way through this game with a bit less boredom and frustration, here are some Action Replay codes that I made up:
FFF4950005 - lives
FFDBDD0025 - invincible (can't get power-ups)
FFDBE10003 - have missiles
FFDBDF00xx - weapon (03=vulcan, 07=laser, 0B=wave, 0F=missiles)
