NeoGeo CD SD Loader: Can anyone recommend me to a modder?

Post by Rock Man »

So, I wound up picking up the SD Loader from Furttek. I have not the soldering skill to install. Therefore I need someone who will solder this for me. I can pay the labor plus shipping.

It's the Neo CD mod kit version that will enable me to keep the optical drive with the SD card loader, so the slightly more complicated mod. Any takers? Ideally I would prefer to deal with someone based in the US who has a website but it's not a deal breaker! Let's do it!

Hit up IFixRetro on faceberg. I bet he'll do it. He's very professional.

I just got my NeoCD SD Loader too, but mine is the no CD version and it only requires four easy solder points to power the board. Because I do not solder (there's a story about that), I have asked a friend to do it for me. Don't you have any friends who make circuits or cables?

I do but I do not wish to come off heavy-handed.

To me that is not a beginners solder. That's intermediate from what I've read. Even if the next guy comments and says it's easy there are too many steps for me to comprehend. I may not solder but if I start soldering something it HAS to be beginners level like the Sega Saturn chip (btw I THINK the Genesis RGB kit has a similar simple solder but not sure) hence why I'm gonna have someone else do it who's not me or any of my mod friends lol. Thanks for the link I'll ask him.
