Framemeister on Samsung 3D LED TV's

Post by mrwasi »

Hi. I've been having some issues with my framemeister on my Samsung 3D LED TV, specifically the N64.

On my 65 4k Vizio the framemeister and n64 via s-video looks really good. On the Samsung it looks like an oil painting, just a muddy mess. I turned off the "soap opera" effect on the Samsung and that helped with ghosting but I've tried every setting imaginable for both the tv and framemeister.

I was wondering if anyone has had any success with their framemeister on a Samsung LED?

Thanks

Did you also turn the Sharpness all the way down? My friend has a Samsung TV where the default sharpness setting in Game Mode looks horrible. On most TV’s sharpness should be set to 0.

Yeah that was one of the first things I did. I don't think the older Samsung LEDs play nice with upscalers

Sounds like you have disabled every kind of noise reduction and dynamic settings already, then I’m all out of ideas :(

I just don't get it. I tried the framemeister on 3 different tvs and it works flawlessly, but with the Samsung 3d tv I'm guessing the internal hardware of the tv doesn't like the upscaler
