Jerusalem is the butchered Dopesmoker. Dopesmoker is an earlier version thats like 10 minutes longer and doesn't have the track edits in so you can't skip around... also, the artwork is way wayyyy better.

The new Tool album (of course). And if you aren't listening to it RIGHT NOW... you'd better have a good reason? :P (held off on downloading it... it's always worth it... especially with that artwork, one of the coolest cd gimmicks ever).

Not as good as Lateralus.

I heard it, overall I liked a lot more than Lateralus. It's standout tracks are much better than Lateralus's imo, but the problem is there aren't enough standout tracks. Way too many post-rock style, drawn-out, atmospheric songs...I never thought Tool was paticularly interesting playing that style. There aren't enough dope riffs, period. If they want to make long, drawn-out stuff, it needs to be more interesting (ex. Eulogy off Aenima). If there were more tracks like the first two, then it could've been 10x better. Maybe even rivaling Undertow or Aenima. As a whole I'd even say Opiate is better. Anywho...

The new Chili Peppers sucks, better than By the Way but worse than Californucation. 'Hump de Bump' is decent.

I guess all 3 are better than their *much* earlier stuff, but really the best RHCP is on BloodSugar, One Hot Minute, Uplift Mofo Party Plan, etc. Best music in the world right there. Sad to see such a formerly great band fall apart like this.

Vinyl is underrated, got 4 great albums today for under $5.

I haven't reached a plateau with it. As with Lateralus, you can't take it all in in one, or even a few listens. Each listen I like it more, and the pieces come together a bit more. While I can't imagine liking it more than Aenima or Lateralus... I can't say where or when my understanding or appreciation of it will end... I will just have to keep listening and find out :P All-in-all, I think it's a unique release in its own right for the band, but with a lot of flashback riffs/sounds that kept reminding me of random past tool songs, mostly off Aenima I think.

It's a very bi-polar album. Half nice and heavy (okay, maybe 1/3), the rest atmospheric and beautiful. But the best thing has to be the lack of filler tracks :P (barring the last one... but that's at the end, so...). People are complaining about the "filler tracks", but there just isn't any to me. I even like the chanting. Yes, there's a lot of quiet spaces, and it demands your full attention to listen to it... I wouldn't call that filler personally.

I was worried when I first heard Vicarious... yes, it rocked hard... but it sounded like Lateralus... just glad they didn't make L2, despite most of the explosive bits of the album sounding like a mash up of their past albums. It's more the way the songs are put together in this album that is unique... they are definitely complex and all over the place, and kind of seep into you. The guitar work is great...

As with any music, the best way to listen to it is loud and with headphones, lol :P

Oh, yeah...there is. But it's pretty much an Acid Mothers record, just with Oni and Pika doing most of the vocals, as well as some instrumentation. I like it, but maybe not quite as much as either a straight up AMT or Afrirampo album, if that makes any sense.

Well, checking out Haemorrhage's Morgue Sweet Home. I'm not sure if this would be the right album, but it sounds like a quality Symphonies of Sickness imitation. Thumbs up.

Impaled's got more of a Necroticism thing going on, with the melody and sound clips and all. Awesome. Thank you, Carcass clones.
