Searching for sprites of Space-ships

Hello. I am new in this forum so please forgive me if I ask a noob question or opening a topic with a subject that already exists.
I am searching for sprite-rips of Space-ships from shoot-them-up style games for artistic purposes.
Doesn't really matter if the sprites are big or small, I need such from different kinds.
I would like to get a link to an archive as big as possible of such sprites.

You can find a few at http://www.slateman.net. Mostly from DonPachi series and R-Type, if you're looking specifically for spaceships. Also ESP RaDe and Guwange, but they're not spaceships.

Actually, I am looking for cartoon-graphics space-ships (not only hero-ships, but also enemy-ships and boss-ships) from games like Gradius, Darius, Zero-wing, etc. I wanted to know if there is an ultimate source for such sprites. If there isn't, I have to look for them on every game on its own.

You might find some gradius and parodius sprite at the Gradius Home World... sorry, I don't know about any "ultimate" source. Hey, maybe you could do that once you'll have collected them all

One of the reasons I asked it, because there are a few sources of Castlevania sprites (a video-game sage I am a fan of), and somebody created a site with tons of sprites of CV charechters.
