PGM Shmups

Post by M0nk3y »

Is it just me, or are the IGS PGM games damn elusive? The only games I ever seem to see are Demon Front (which looks good anyways) and various versions of Knight of Valour (I'm sure 1 will be enough). I can't seem to find anywhere selling EspGaluda, Ketsui or DDP:DoJ, although I can find DDP:Bee Storm.

Anyone know if there are anymore shmups/run n' gunners coming out for the PGM system?

Cheers

EDIT: Pity all those Cave shmups didn't come out on the standard PGM carts instead of individual PCBs. Would have made the system much more disirable...

Those shooters you mention are not on the PGS system; they are their own boards. They are not cart based.

Someone should tell System 16 then...

So if there's no DoJ, Ketsui or EspGaluda, that means there's only Bee Storm and Demon Front on the shooty side of things. That's crap

its right on there "The later Cave games use a single board system instead of the cartridge system, and use a custom bios" so the page is right. course theyre past pgm now and onto a sh3 based system.

Yes, those are elusive. There's some chat about it in the For Sale board. Just wait, they'll come up. I'll probably sell my DoDonpachi II kit one day, as I never play the turd.

They are single-board PGM.
The fact that half the board isn't in a detachable bit of plastic makes no odds.

I simply meant you do not need the mobo for them and they are not MVS cart like, as I believe the author thought they were.
