For anyone who has the Platinum trophy in the PS4 version, I’m having an issue; I have one trophy left and I think it might be bugged. It’s the trophy “Expensive Debris 2” and I have to use a special weapon on the final boss right after killing it but before the little cockpit detaches. I’ve been trying for over an hour and I can’t get it plus there’s no video of it online.

That trophy might be referring to the shrapnel from the round hatch on the carrier, the one the final boss emerges from before it flies off for the first time.

I scored 5.5 million on my 1CC which I determined to be a score for the easiest route for my survival clear. But scoring under 5.5 million would be harder. Under 4.5 million would be a lot harder. 3.5...2.5. Weird strategies. I think it would be interesting, and still push high levels of skill.

Going for the lowest score is actually a solid challenge in its own right! I don't think anyone outside of Japan has this one tried out yet. It becomes interesting as soon as you reach below 3 million, you can check out the video index for a run scoring merely 1.5 million points!

I'm going to post my run in this thread even though it's already in the "I Did it" thread. I think it can be instructive for players who haven't gotten a 1cc yet. The route is designed to be as easy as possible for survival. It doesn't collect medals. It doesn't require any tricks to get extra bombs. Safety bombs are afforded even when not really needed. I will note that I bomb the flamingos in stage 2 late because I went out of my way to collect an option. Also, I would typically play stage 2 with my main shot powered up twice. I think I handle key parts of stage 6 with very consistent strategies, and I would note how easy clearing the red turret wall in the final stage is. Originally my route used a bomb there. One time I just naturally macro dodged the turret on the left in rhythm, and realized how easy it was. Saving that bomb was when I knew I was going to get the 1cc soon. I also easily macro that one attack from the third boss in stage 5.

In stage 6 I blunder the wall . . . bad. My route is simple: one bomb takes out the left front turret, a second bomb takes out the turret on the right. I ended up using three bombs and dying, because I flew back towards the center directly into the stream of orange, destructible bullets. I learned not to do it so long ago, I forgot it was a threat. My anxiety on the final boss is obvious. I dodge a bullet only to fly back and clip the back of the bullet with the back of my hitbox. Something I used to do a lot. Then I fly into one of the exploding balls when there weren't even any bullets around it.

I do plan to improve on scoring. I've watched plenty of Kamui runs, so I know how insanely high scoring pushes the skill level. I have a backlog and I tend to focus on one game at a time. I can improve my score easily just my medaling the first few levels. I'd have my score beat well before beating the final boss. Doing a 1cc with Golden Bat and chaining medals into stage 4 is the next step. I've been considering switching to Bornnam ABC, for taking scoring seriously, after that.
