Help me identify an arcade brawler

Post by captain ahar »

there was an arcade brawler type game, character's sort of reminded me of Cho Aniki (the exageration, not style). in around the third stage you face a sheep, and if you die and continue, you play as said sheep. i think the first stage has you beating things up while random platforms rise out of the ground.

thanks. i need to play it again.

Saturday Night Slam Masters got a character named Sheep, no that can't be it.

Did it have scaling like Neo Geo Fighters? 2D 3D? what era? One on one or Final Fight style.
Graphical style? City or Country? Old school or future? I'm very curious now. Data East Fuun Saiki has a hidden bull to fight, anyone ever saw that?

you proceeded through levels in a linear order. the player is confined to 2d movement. the art is ugly, but intentionally so. its been mentioned on this board. maybe as a game someone "loved to hate". obviously without the name searching is basically useless...

thanks guys, but you punch and kick your way through the game.

seems like the characters fit the "bad" stereotype pretty well. as in, "I love the Power Glove. It's so bad."

Drawing a blank for me. I made a list of this type of game a while ago:

If you work out what it is, and it isn't on that list - please let me know so I can update. They're my other favourite genre.

its not a final fight type game. you only could move left to right, and jump. also, i'd like to stress how riduculous the art style is.

and bloodflowers, i'll take a look at that list as soon as i can.

Something Guardians?

That game had a Cho Aniki style boss and a playable character. There was also an angel girl with a metal claw and a rhino-esge alien dude.

it's Trio the Punch - Never Forget Me...

My favorite part of the game is when you fight Colonel Sanders. Yes. Check it out in MAME sometime.

no, but Guardians / Denjin Makai II is an EXCELLENT beat-em-up that not many people got to play.

Hah - what a dreadful game :)

Do you think there was ever a point where the makers sat down, saw what they had created and thought "yes, that's great - good work everyone!"

I just wonder if they rolled up the joints before or after making the game. :P
