Hello all,
A local dealer has OLYMPUS OEV-203 for sale (close to $300). I would like to know if you have any experience with this monitor, as it looks identical to a Sony Sony PVM-20M2U (front panel, read connectors, etc.)
Thank you so much!

That's exactly what it is - rebranded Sony (for medical applications or something). It's identical to one of the Sonys, might be that one but I can't remember. I have one and it is excellent.

Thanks for confirming that. Is it a 4:3 monitor? On the pictures it looks a bit rectangular shaped to me.

It is exactly a PVM 20m2u. I have both.
If the 20m2u is 16:9, then the OEV 203 is 16:9. If the 20m2u is 4:3, then OEV 203 is 4:3.

If my memory serves the non-medical 20M2 can do 16:9 (in SD/non-HD resolutions of course) and has ONE set of RGBS inputs.
The medical versions – believe this holds true for the Sony 20M2MDU and the Olympus OEV-203 (which is always a medical version) have two RGBS inputs, and can't do 16:9 - instead they can do split screen with those 2x RGBS inputs (used for medical evaluations compare/contrast type stuff).
16:9 really isn't a loss in my eyes as most widescreen content is 480p and above anyway (plus this is a SMALL screen nowadays and widescreen would just make it even smaller).
Oh, medical versions also have some extra stuff in the power supply area inside - as you can't have any arcing in hospitals where oxygen tanks and such might be used since it would be a fire hazard.

Yeah mine is a 20m2mdu.
You can actually reprogram the dimensions of the overscan and underscan modes. So I've set my underscan mode to be my 16:9 mode, for modern 240p games like Blazing Chrome and Bloodstained CotM (this is 15:9 actually). And I've repgrogrammed my overscan mode to bring GBA games running through GBI to fullscreen letterboxed.
