How's the gameplay of this upcoming PCE LCD monitor?

Are you sure that thing is new and not 20 years old? That screen-to-bezel ratio is absurd for a modern product, and it's incredibly bulky.

I think the phrase you're looking for is "period-accurate".

Couldn't help myself and pre-ordered one - - many months ago already. This was delayed a few times. We'll see if it finally gets its released in mid september.

The display quality itself should be fine, although - as Guspaz said - it's shame they used a 16:9 screen and went with such a bulky design. Especially if you see that really nice 4:3 displays are available for the Rasperry units. I personally fear about the internal's though. Worst (but likely case) is that it's a composite connection internally, which gets terribly linedoubled. Best case is that's an internal RGB connection, but gets treated and doubled like a 480i signal. There's no way in hell that this uses an internal RGB signal AND properly displays it as a progressive signal.

Nevertheless it's not too expensive to give it a try. I'll be happy to report back, should it indeed arrive in september.
