US Strikers in TATE??
Is there any way to make the US Strikers 1945 do TATE?
Or should I just get a PS X-Change and the import version? How much is the JP version there days anyway?

I've wondered if there isn't some sort of Gameshark code that could unlock Tate in the US release of Strikers 1945 Part 2.doctorx0079 wrote:Is there any way to make the US Strikers 1945 do TATE?

At any rate, the Japanese version has seen a budget reprint in the Simple Super Lite Series. It has a painfully plain white cover but the game is complete. It shouldn't run you more than US $30 new.

That the version I import from a Hong Kong eBay seller.Kiken wrote:At any rate, the Japanese version has seen a budget reprint in the Simple Super Lite Series. It has a painfully plain white cover but the game is complete. It shouldn't run you more than US $30 new.

I'm pretty sure the US version will not allow for tate, even with Gameshark, but I could be wrong.
There is also the PS2 version which includes Strikers 1945 I as well.
That would be a good find. It is very hard to find a new copy these days. There is also the Saturn version, but on the whole people prefer the Jap PS1 version. I would expect to pay between $30-35 shipped for a used copy.Kiken wrote:At any rate, the Japanese version has seen a budget reprint in the Simple Super Lite Series. That's the main problem. Otherwise we could order import games real cheap.professor ganson wrote:Interesting, though that site is entirely in Japanese, afaik.SAM wrote:Well, IIRC there are still new copy being sold at Amazon.jpprofessor ganson wrote: That would be a good find. I've never had problems with mine, but it apparently has issues with games that use redbook audio (none of my import PS titles do). Gradius Gaiden and Raiden DX work perfectly with it.

He asked about the US PSX Strikers 1945, which is Strikers 1945 Part II. The PSX port of part 2 was handled better than the Saturn port. Although, the Saturn port of Strikers 1945 was handled much better than the PSX version.Strider77 wrote:Why do folks prefer strikers on the psx over saturn? are we talking about 1 along with 2.....?
anyone know the differences?

what makes the PSX vers of part 2 better? I'm not doubting it, just curious to know why.
When these were coming out back then I usually bought the SAT vers b/c of the saturn being a 2D work hourse. Now that some time has passed I found out a few turned up better on the PSX due to poor programming on the SAT ect....
